For the design concept, we took the name literally and made analog fast-forwarding the subject of the complete redesign: “fast-forwarded” writing, “fast-forwarded” videos, “fast-forwarded” frames.
The central medium of video becomes the focus of the entire interactive design and web presence through analog VHS and tube television alienation. By scrolling, the user fast-forwards through the current winning videos on the homepage and is invited to browse, discover and research. Through the prominent use of the scroll-forward effect, this effect itself becomes the core element of the overall appearance and turns almost every image into a suitable key visual.
The theme is not a customized ready-made theme, but completely built from the ground up. The scroll-effect is realized with the help of PixiJS.
